Contains a series of letters authored by Juan Vicente Güémez Pacheco de Padilla Horcasitas y Aguayo, the viceroy of Mexico (1789-1794) to various individuals. The letters are dated October 31, 1789; November 6, 1789; November 30, 1789; January 10, 1790; January 25, 1792; January 30, 1792; April 30, 1792; May 31, 1792, May 8, 1792; May 9, 1792; May 10, 1792; May 31, 1792, June 13, 1792. Included in the work is a copy of a royal seal dated October 27, 1729. In addition to the letters, the text contains 33 separate concerns/points raised by the Real Audiencia of Mexico and their corresponding replies by the viceroy. The concerns are found on the right-hand column and replies on the left. Themes of discussion revolve around military ordinances, procedures, and laws.
